"The Drive"
CD Release party was held at “The Mint” in Hollywood, Ca to a enthusiastic and supportive full house of friends and industry. “The Drive” is a journey with 13 songs, taking you through a struggle, a fall from grace, the redemptive power of love and renewed sense of purpose and calling in life.
The album combines elements of classic rock, modern rock and Pop/soul with an underlying bluesy, Americana feel. Musically, lyrically and emotively this album is a true representation of who I have become as an artist... which basically means, I worked hard as I ever did before in making this my “I’ll die a happy artist!” CD.
The 13 songs were co-written, recorded and produced over many years with John Pighetti and John Hartmann. It has taken many cross-country flights to record and fine-tune this project to bring it into fruition. And the fruit is tasty! People coast to coast are saying they love “The Drive”!
This is thrilling as an artist, to be able to take a concept, and work, shape and mold it into something to share with friends and fans near and far. My sister, the amazing multi-media artist, Crystal Hardison took charge of all of the photography and Art Design on “The Drive”. The photos were taken on the surrounding property of my parent’s house in Western MA. The setting and gorgeous scenery really gave weight and a sense of place visually to the Album. I am so at home out there.
In Boston, I continue to work with my band, comprised of David Porter, Dave Tolar, Oliver Hammerle and some brand new players on board. A Boston CD Release Party for “The Drive” is in the planning stages and will be announced soon. I have had the pleasure of singing and playing with “The Maverick Street Band” during the past months for some concerts and have had a blast mixing things up with this stellar Country/Rock band. Stay tuned for more appearances at events with “The Maverick Street Band” as well as the fully plugged in Agona Hardison Band.
